Some Of My New Friends

Cailyn and I met by chance in none other than the Macy's shoe department ( what a surprise!) . Looking to spend my much appreciated Macy's gift card I received as a gift for Christmas, I walked the isles of the crowded chaotic space, with shoes, boxes and paper strewn everywhere from all the thirsty shoppers looking to taking advantage of the after Christmas sales. Originally, I could not get pass the mess to focus on my energy on the shoes that were calling. I actually went and bought some cute lingerie. Somewhat content with my purchase, I walked past the shoes one more time on my way to parking lot. Something said, "Take one more look." So I decided to listen to that inner voice blessed to me by the almighty shoe gods and lo and behold, I saw Cailyn. Its as if she were calling to me so that I would not step foot our of that store without at least noticing her first. I as soon as I slipped her on my foot, my man said, "get them...let's go." LOL Well, who am I to argue when even he was so clearly taken my new metallic foot attire. Needless to say I wrapped them back up and headed to the cashier. As if things could not get any better, as I stood in line grinning from ear to ear, clutching my new treasure like a little girl with a new baby doll, a shopper online behind me gave me a coupon for an extra 20% off my purchase!!! Life is good, my shoes are fabulous and I am happy. Nuff said.

I have to say it was love at first sight when I walked up to the Nazirra shoe in the Guess store in downtown, NYC. The combination of the zebra print and the royal blue platform will provide just the right amount of flare and sassiness to my shoe repertoire this summer. This shoe brings a bright smile to my face in the midst of this endless sea of dirty snow and sidewalks of salt residue. Even though I have cute boots to wear my feet are screaming for something beautiful to let my toes feel the sunlight and to arch my calves in taught attention lol. These are the kind of shoes that make strut that much more powerful and allow your personal rhythm to be both seen and heard as you walk down the street.
