Moving From the Back Room to the Boardroom
I started this blog during my process of self-discovery. I thought I needed to reinvent myself but some times you need to run with what comes naturally. After I lost my job, I spent a long time sitting around trying to figure out what I was supposed to do with myself. Of course, there was always consolation in my closet. The more I write the more I want to share my passion for shoes. In the last few weeks, I really wanted this to be more than just an emotional release. They say when you are doing what you love, it's not work. I am starting to believe that is true. So I think it's time for me to put in some work lol
I have decided to move out of my comfort zone and really step my game up, pushing myself to show how far will I go to pursue my passion. I have to admit that it can be scary, but then I think to myself, "we're talking about shoes here! I got this!" That is not to say that I am the foremost authority on shoes, but I know what speaks to me. I know how I feel when I see the right pair at the right time.
I picked these particular shoes because of the they are all a little dark and slightly serious. It would be somewhat easy to overlook them with a black suit on but to the discerning eye they have an edge and personality. I am all for where the classic ensemble with an over-the-top pair of heels (if you've seen me out, you can definitely attest to this! lol) but there also a time for quiet elegance.
A time when your aura, energy or vibe should speak without words. Trust me a these sleek patent leather pumps say FIERCE MOJO (in a whispering voice lol) to me! They are guaranteed to turn a head or pull a compliment even from that lady you see at work but is always too mean to speak because she holds true to the misconception that other women are competition instead of comrades. (You know what I am talking about)
So I encourage everyone reading this go ahead and hot step your way across that boardroom, up that ladder or to wherever it is you want to go. Step into the forefront of your life, passion and destiny. I know I am and I will surely be looking good while I'm doing it! :)
